Akshay Kumar,Fardeen Khan and Riteish Deshmukh

Rather than talk about the movie( which I thoroughly enjoyed ), I want to talk about the three stars, who have suddenly gained immense approval in my eyes..( yes yes even fardeen khan ..who I always thought had perennial sinusitis).

Akshay Kumar:
He has the most unbelievable comic timing after Paresh Rawal. In fact I would place both actors on the same level. Other than possessing a brilliant physique, he has manged to show how effortless, comic roles are for him . Humour is one genre, most actor fear to tread. Even though his role is repetitive, but his niche has changed over time..and from action packed to emotional, to comic roles, he has shown versatility. Something that most mainstream actors with the looks and screen presence lack. I am eagerly looking forward to Bhool Bhulaiya!

Fardeen Khan:
Fardeen is slowly but surely, emerging from the shadows of his sexy and suave father Feroz Khan. His role in the movie is smaller as compared to Akkie, but the portrayal is brilliant. There is this comic sequence where he has to act as a geeky suitor, and the finesse with which each dialogue is delivered keeps you wondering if this is the same guy who at one point of time was the lead star of bare-celina-jaitley-sans-story type of movies.

Riteish Deshmukh:
I don't know if I have spelled his name correctly, but I can safely pronounce him as an indispensable element to the main hero. A little too cutish for lead roles(and a flop in most! ) he has carved a niche for himself and is very good at what he does. I personally, found his performance in Bluffmaster the best so far, but this one doesn't lag far behind.

What are you waiting for? Grab that popcorn and laugh your hearts out!

The Adnan Patrawala Case

Very soon, we all may know the entire story of Adnan Patrawala's kidnapping and murder. We will know the culprits and their stories.
But in the entire frenzy, there are two culprits that have been beaten up and screamed at and blamed by the news channels and general public alike. They are Orkut and Call Centers(One of the accused used to work in a call center). Its funny to see how two rather liberating instruments of society have become an unnatural coffin of the youth. Liberating because--Orkut changed the rather mundane ways of Yahoo Chat and brought social networking into vogue and Call Centers aimed to provide easy ways to financial freedom. Both avenues provide, amazing means of information, but in the grim world of uncontrolled Internet use and financial independence, both these social revolutions have created a vacuum of discomfort. True, the crackdown of the case has happened due to the information obtained from Orkut, but the stark reality of luring an innocent rich kid stands in way of any reasonable defense.
Unfortunately Adnan is a victim of this and much much more.

How a set of parents allowed a 12th standard kid to drive and not come back home for an entire night(because he wanted to play pool) is the pressing question?

One Question!

The eternal dilemma when one is watching the Nigella Lawson cookery shows...
What is yummier? the food or the host!
