Dasrath Manjhi will probably not be given a medal...he might not have long speeches written about him...in the vagaries of life, his name will be conveniently forgotten.
But for the residents of Gelaur,Bihar and its generations ahead, he will be remembered as the man who "foolishly" built a road, through a mountain, just because his wife could have it easy. His testament of love might not gather tourists around it, but it surely deserves a read.
