Yes, I did at one point of time, dream of being anorexic. So when you read that curvaceous women are at an advantage over skinny ones, your heart does gymnastics that would put Nadia Comaneci to shame!
Lung cancer, osteoporosis, organ failure...SCRAM!
Talking of curvaceous women, the Mexican culture doesn't allow women to be skinny or thin. In fact Mexcican men want their women to be fat and curvy. No wonder the Latino women(Read:Eva Longoria) have guys drooling all over them !
That brings me to an important thought? Isnt it funny that women all over the world look the way their men want them to be! And I am not talking about boyfriends or husbands, it includes daddies.
The same applies to men too . C'mon , hotties like Beckham, and Antonio Banderas wouldn't have half the drool value if they wore stuff we didnt like? (I dunno what makes Brad Pitt look hot in metal (Troy) and formals at the same time! )
A good post by Aishwarya on this topic.

You are beautiful, Girl...
A new day, a beautiful world,
The cry of freedom,
An eyebrow-less face, sleepy eyes,
Mom's joy, Dad's pride,
You are beautiful, girl...
The first steps,
Running home from school,
Dolls and icecream,
Wide-eyed innocence...
You are beautiful, girl...
Transition,
Confusion, inside and out,
Peer pressure, guilty pleasures,
Junk food, an occasional smoke,Meth becomes life...
You were beautiful,girl...
Glossy mags replacing Bible,
Self Esteem=Kate Moss,
Food ~Anathema,
Is Hell better?
You were beautiful?...girl..
Anorexia seems cool,
Puking is OK,
Expletives are "IN"
Life's on a HIGH...
You were a beautiful girl??
Tubes in an out,
A hospital bed,
Intense Prayers,
Hope seems distant...
You can be beautiful, girl...
Hope, a Campaign for Real Beauty ,
Finding meaning within,
Life gives a High-Five!!
Surreal,
Kindness towards yourself...
Didnt I tell you?
You were beautiful!
Many girls across are the world worship, extoll and swear by the glossy magazines and their waif thin models. Good health does come with an active lifestyle and a fit body, but not at the cost of an entire personality. The low levels of self confidence and esteem make these girls lead lives of deprived fulfilment. The world around them may be beautiful and in sync, but the false aspirations and the pressing need to look like "someone" better, forces them into deprivation. God gives us a body, a temple to make it suit our needs and capabilities and not that of someone else. This disturbing trend is being voiced and funded for by the Campaign for Real Beauty, a Fund in assocation with Dove. Their first campaign consisted of promoting women with real curves. And they did a great job of it! They put up billboards of stay-at-home moms with outrageous curves across America in order to promote this campaign and their products.
You can learn more about it here. And while your there, make sure you see the ad that they've put up on their site.
